Elevator pitch
Definition
A very short (30-60 second) introduction of yourself, an idea, or a product — short enough to deliver during an elevator ride.
In depth
The name comes from explaining something briefly to someone you happen to meet in an elevator. It's used for intros, networking, and investor pitches, and the key is leaving one point clearly rather than cramming everything in.
Tip
Decide the one sentence you want remembered first, then make the rest support it.
