The Closing Question: Why You Shouldn't Just Say 'No'

This question looks like a courtesy, but it's really a chance to craft your own last impression. Interviewers read your genuine interest and your ability to be concise here. Waving it off with 'nope' throws that chance away.

Don't pile on new information — land one key point in 30 seconds.

1. Thanks — one sentence

   Not boilerplate — briefly name something you liked about today's conversation.

2. Reinforce one thing

   One strength you didn't get to, or one reason you fit this company. Say several and it blurs.

3. Intent — close it

   Plainly show you'd like to join. Leave out the over-rehearsed grand declaration.

• ✕Re-summarizing the whole interview from the top.
• ✕Bringing up salary negotiation here — wrong moment.
• ✕An over-rehearsed, grand declaration — plain lands longer.
